Performing under my VJ moniker, Spellbound Visuals, I have VJ'ed several times for the Electronic Music Open Mic. This event is hosted monthly at Indexical, located at the Tannery Arts Center in Santa Cruz, CA. The space features three projectors, surrounding the audience for full immersion. It's a wonderful opportunity for innovative electronic musicians to perform for an appreciative crowd, as well as VJ's. I typically use Resolume to play clips back, with NestDrop Midnight Edition for audio reactive layers, making deeply compelling and immersive visuals to accompany each musician's work.
