This was my first full 3D environment render, completed for an Intro to 3D Modeling Course I took at Berkeley City College in 2016 with professor Jim Bach. I modeled all of these assets in Maya and created all materials from scratch using the Quixel Suite plugin for Photoshop. This was the first time I'd ever used Arnold for rendering, or any kind of physically based materials.
The assignment involved gathering creative reference to generate a contact sheet, as well as loose concept sketches I no longer have. A lot of my data before the year 2019 was lost in a house fire, stored locally on my desktop PC at the time. Thankfully, a lot of work is backed up on my ArtStation profile.
